Love Travels Imports is a certified woman-owned business which supports artisans around the world by selling their handcrafted goods.  

Love Travels Imports exists to be a catalyst for change in the fight against global poverty and toward greater environmental sustainability.  We do this by thoughtfully selecting artisan partnerships where we can have the greatest impact, ensuring that  the artisans are paid fair wages to support themselves and their families.  We prioritize working with artisan groups who are embracing environmentally friendly production techniques and are committed to  developing new products with the environment in mind. We value long term partnerships with artisan groups and we believe one of our purposes is to be a bridge of global interconnectedness.  Each product we sell has a unique story to tell about the artisan who made it and the beauty of their culture and traditions.  We are committed to bringing positive alternatives to a market dominated by fast fashion and to offer consumers the opportunity to join us in this global movement where people & the planet are thoughtfully considered.  

FOUNDER

Yvette Jenkins is the Founder & CEO of Love Travels Imports.  She was born & raised in Detroit, Michigan, where Love Travels headquarters is located.  As a young girl, she saw her father work with a variety of different small business owners, as well as having a job with Chrysler Corporation.  Watching him, she developed a strong work ethic, a sense of independence, a commitment to excellence and a thirst to have her own business. 

Yvette is a seasoned sales/marketing professional with over two decades of successful business development and professional experience both in the corporate and public sector.  Her entrepreneurial dedication is an inspiration to her local community as well as to the thousands of artisans she supports globally.  She is a mentor to local youth and offers employment opportunities to high school & college students.  She is passionate about books, travel, the arts, creative expression and making a difference in the lives of people.
